* This course is for intermediate to advanced lyre players and for lyres of any type with at least 7 strings. It is highly recommended to first complete
the beginner courses 101, 102 and 103, along with all core lessons (both beginner and intermediate) availabel also at LyreAcademy.
* Do you own a lyre with more strings? The course can be done by students with a lyre or a kithara with 7 or more strings. Simple and step-by-step videos are available to prepare your lyre for the courses (including tuning).
Lesson 1: Learn to play “Oktasimon” and “Dekasimon”
By reading the notes on a music sheet and by getting into the 3/8 rhythm, we are going to learn step by step a surviving ancient melody.
Lesson 2: Learn to play “Callimachus’ Hymn to Zeus”

Lesson 3: Learn to play “Parte Di Canto Greco del Modo Hippolidio”
Another great ancient melody to practice our signing and lyre playing.
