Description
Asthma is the leading cause of ER visits, hospitalizations, and missed school days. Dr. DanThuy Dao reviews asthma identification, aggravators, and treatments.
Objectives:
- Differentiate between asthma and other upper respiratory inflammations
- Review current guidelines for treating pediatric asthma patients
- Identify indoor and outdoor triggers for asthma attacks

DanThuy Dao, DO is Vice Chair and Assistant Clinical Professor for the Department of Maternal and Child Health, Pediatrics. She graduated from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003 and finished her Pediatric Residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Phoenix, AZ in 2006. Dr. Dao joined Midwestern University after practicing as a Pediatric Hospitalist. She is Board Certified from the American Board of Pediatrics. Her current clinical practice is Pediatric Emergency department at HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center.
