Elixir Attar – Perfumery/Attar – Making Course

“Elixir Attar – Perfumery/Attar – Making Course” is a comprehensive program focused on the art and techniques of creating perfumes and attars. This course offers practical instruction on blending essential oils, botanical extracts, and aromatic compounds to produce high-quality fragrances. Participants learn the fundamentals of perfumery, including scent composition, aroma blending, and the use of natural ingredients. Elixir Attar provides hands-on guidance and industry insights to help aspiring perfumers develop their skills in creating unique and captivating scents.

During the course you will have to purchase essential oils and other materials. You will receive guidance on where to find them at lower prices.

You can use any materials you have but the course must be practice-oriented and not just theoretical.

From the heart California, learn perfumery and attarmaking from one of the most prestigious attar houses around.

You will have access to and practice with rare information from around the world, including historical Ghaliya perfumes derived from Medieval Islamic sources.

You can soon open your own perfume/attar house.

A final attar/and/or fragrance that you have made yourself will also be assessed.-Z. The course consists of 10 intensive sessions (two hours each).

Session 1-Naturals vs synthetics in perfumery-Scent profiles for various perfume components.-GCMS & note breakdown-Technology and perfumery.

Session 2-Obtaining perfumery materials(natural and synthetic)-Blending techniques, basics of blending, recording and logging perfumery experiments.-Measurements.-Explaining perfumery termsDiffusivity, sillage, projection, etc.

Session 3-Base notes. Middle notes. Top Notes.-Ambers, ouds and resins-You can work with resins, ouds and ambers-Incense, oriental, chypres.

Session 4 -Musks, animalics-Animalics-Musk-Ghaliyas

Session 5 -Florals-Flowers and flowers

Session 6-Spices and woods, isolateds.

Session 7-Incense making-Solid perfumes

Session 8-Synthetics use in perfumery-Potential use of synthetics in attars

Session 9-Blending your personal perfume/attar-Samples of example formulas for various families of attars.

Session 10-Blending perfume/attar from your own creation-Send your attar to provide detailed feedback
