“Tim Kelley’s Transform Your Inner Critic 2024 course provides a comprehensive approach to overcoming self-criticism and developing a healthier, more supportive inner dialogue. Participants will learn to identify and challenge negative self-talk patterns, using a variety of techniques to reframe their inner dialogue and cultivate self-compassion. The course includes practical exercises, psychological insights, and strategies for building self-esteem and resilience. Attendees will gain tools to transform their inner critic into an ally, fostering personal growth, enhancing self-awareness, and creating a more positive and empowering mindset for achieving their goals and well-being.”
During this 7-week course, you’ll:
- Recognize the 4 types of critical voices and how they show up in your life
- Discover exactly where your negative view of yourself comes from
- Hold all the parts of yourself with compassion, and transform your desire to become different from the person you already are
- Meet your inner Wounded Child and begin to build a healthy, new relationship with this crucial part of your psyche
- Delve into the complex relationship between your Wounded Child and your Inner Critic — so you can stop getting drawn into their drama triangle
- Liberate yourself from judgment as you turn your Inner Critic into an ally
- Explore new dance, movement, art, and inner dialogue practices each week to deepen and embody what you’re learning (all movement is at your own pace and interpretation, and no art or dance skills required!)
- Learn guided meditative practices and tools to take with you after the course ends, so your transformation can continue to unfold
As these transformations take hold, you’ll notice a sharp reduction in negative self-talk and perfectionism. You’ll process difficult emotions more easily. You’ll finally cease the endless quest to “fix” yourself.
As you make progress toward your goals and increase your performance, you’ll find you stop assuming others are critical of you. Soon, you’ll find you’re less critical of them, too.
These practices and tools will help you meet the part of yourself that’s being critical, and dialogue with your Inner Critic to understand how it’s served you.
Tim and Heather will share movement practices that allow you to be in your body and make shifts to release your Inner Critic’s hold on you, and move beyond feeling stuck.
You’ll engage in artwork to help you symbolically express what you’re feeling and how you’re transforming.
The process Tim and Heather will share with you takes place on psychological, somatic, and emotional levels. Over the years, they’ve found that when all of these systems are leveling up at once, the odds of permanent change are much higher.

Module 1: Uncover the Source of Your Negative Self-Talk So You Can Begin to Transform It (September 3)
Why do you keep undermining yourself and arguing when people compliment you?
Where does your negative view of yourself come from?
Tim and Heather will explain how the inner structure of your psyche is designed to create this unrelenting flow of self-criticism and abuse.
Discover an inner world of parts and voices that interact and engage to create the being called “you.”
In this module, you’ll discover:
- How the voices in your head work
- The childhood origins of your self-critical voice, so you can explore it throughout the course
- How the voice in your head influences your self-esteem and body image
- A heart meditation through movement and visualization to engage your inner parts safely, develop self-compassion, connect to your body, and create the container in which your Inner Critic can transform
Module 2: Understand the 4 Types of Critical Voices So You Can Use Them to Help You (September 10)
Did you know that a small number of key parts of your mind generate nearly all of your internal self-abuse and self-negation?
Tim and Heather will explain which parts these are, and how each functions. As you’ll discover, these parts of your personality are there for a reason, and getting rid of them would harm you.
Learn the most effective method for interacting with the parts of your psyche.
Explore how certain states of being make it safer and easier to engage with your self-critical parts, while other states put you on shaky ground.
In this module, you’ll discover:
- How the voice isn’t actually you
- Why attempts to change or get rid of negative self-talk don’t work
- The 4 types of critical voices in your mind
- The upside and downside of your inner critical voices — so you can understand the benefit of integrating them rather than trying to get rid of them
- What a productive conversation with your Inner Critic sounds like, in a practical demonstration
- A body awareness practice to help move your Inner Critic from your unconscious to conscious awareness
Module 3: Build a Compassionate Relationship With Your Inner Wounded Child to Cultivate a Healthier Self-Image (September 17)
We all have a young inner child — a Wounded Child who has absorbed the blows and insults of a lifetime.
This part of you lives deep in your subconscious. Learn how bringing it out into the light can help heal years of abuse, neglect, and emotional suppression.
Wounded Child parts require special care! Discover the dos and don’ts of establishing a healthy, healing relationship with your Wounded Child.
In this module, you’ll explore:
- Where Wounded Child parts come from
- How your Wounded Child affects your self-image
- How your Wounded Child serves you
- How to engage your Wounded Child in a healthy and compassionate relationship
- Connecting with your Wounded Child through somatic awareness and freeform movement, at your own pace and interpretation
Module 4: Untangle the Relationship Between Your Wounded Child & Inner Critic (September 24)
If you’re not careful, you may be sucked into an unhealthy dynamic — a drama triangle with you, your Inner Critic, and your Wounded Child.
Your psyche works this way for a reason — and these parts play a crucial role in the development of your ego.
At the same time, upgrading your relationship with them (and their relationships with one another!) can have profound and lasting transformative effects.
In this module, you’ll discover:
- The dynamic, intimate relationship between your Wounded Child and Inner Critic
- How you can appreciate what your ego is doing and why, rather than judge it
- The essential roles that your Wounded Child and Inner Critic play in ego development — so you can see them as beneficial, rather than harmful
- How to avoid the trap that the Inner Critic and Wounded Child naturally lay for you
- How leaving the Inner Critic and Wounded Child in their natural states can slow your growth and transformation
- Ways to embrace your Inner Critic and Wounded Child with a freeform dance practice featuring movement, imagination and art — no dance experience or skills required!
Module 5: Befriend the Critic and Turn It Into An Ally (October 1)
Given the chance and the right incentives, most Inner Critics will completely and permanently change their behavior.
Master a powerful technique to transform any part of your psyche, turning enemies into allies and obstacles into tools.
Transforming your Wounded Child is also possible, but as you’ll learn, it’s much trickier. Tim and Heather will explain the conditions that must be present before you attempt this part of your journey.
In this module, you’ll discover:
- How your critical voices can become powerful allies
- How to evolve your Inner Critic by helping it find its higher purpose
- A tool for completely transforming your inner negative voices
- When to transform your Wounded Child (and when not to!) so it doesn’t experience the process as more criticism and judgment
- Deepening practices that support a profound transformation of your relationship with your Inner Critic — plus a few powerful body techniques for a quick get-out-of-critic fix!
Module 6: Embrace a New Vision for Your Psyche and Liberate Yourself From Judgment (October 8)
With a new dynamic taking root in your psyche, you’ll begin to see how the inner conflict that’s hounded you for years was a necessary part of your growth and development.
Discover how to cultivate heartfelt compassion for your path, your parts, your struggles, and yourself. Become accustomed to holding yourself and all of your parts in love.
A vision of a completely different internal dynamic that could govern your self-image and your life begins to form.
In this module, you’ll explore:
- Gratitude for these systems of your psyche and how they’ve served you and your life
- How to create a systemic shift within yourself so you appreciate rather than judge what unfolds in your mind
- A vision of a different kind of psyche for yourself — with parts working together collaboratively toward a common purpose
- A newfound sense of integration and wholeness through art and movement
- A potent and playful way to dance your wholeness and practice shifting parts — all movement is at your own pace and interpretation
Module 7: Integrate & Celebrate All You’ve Learned So Your Transformation Continues Each Day (October 15)
Any transformation will be short-lived if you don’t care for it and feed it.
As this course comes to a close, recognize how to engage your parts in their new forms so your inner evolution becomes your new reality.
Set an intention to use your new abilities to create even more transformation!
In this module, you’ll discover:
- Best practices for making your new perspective permanent, so your transformation continues to thrive
